Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid

Hi everyone :)

It feels like I haven't posted in forever...well it has been a while!
I've been dying to get back into blogging, but I had to put my uni exams first and then my laptop completely died, so yeah, bad times!
But here I am, no more exams (until may at least) and a shiny brand new MacBook, who still needs naming, so if you have any suggestions let me know! (Yes I am one of those losers who names their laptops :P)

On to the main reason why most of you will be here, I'm sure you don't want to listen to me rambling on about my problems!
For about a year I have been following a skin care routine from skin care for men for treatment of acne. I have always suffered with far from perfect skin and tried most of the lotions and potions on the market as well as prescribed medication from the doctor. However since following this simple yet very effective routine, my skin has been miles better, I was actually surprised at the extend of the improvement considering what I had tried in the past with little results. Yes it may be the fact that my skin and hormones should be calming down as I turn 20 this year (AHH), but I'm definitely hooked!

One of the main products raved about on skin care for men is, Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid. I have forever lusted after this to complete my acne fighting skin care regimen and was very grateful when Paula's Choice offered to send my a sample. This is quite a pricey product at £21.50, which is why I was so hesitant to try it as my skin is so temperamental toward new products, however I can quite honestly say I will be purchasing this for many years to come. It is available to buy from their website - here -, the exfoliants have been repackaged since I received mine.

What they say - 'Exfoliate deep within the pore and fight stubborn blemishes and blackheads with this clear liquid with 2% salicylic acid (BHA). Also contains soothing anti-irritants'

As the description says it is a clear liquid, much like a toner, and as it contains salicylic acid it works wonders on both calming down and soothing breakouts and preventing them. I use this instead of a toner, i.e. after cleansing (currently still using C&P) applying on a cotton pad and wiping over face and neck. I do find it lifts even more dirt out of the skin even after cleanse and polish as well as soothing the skin at the same time.

Pros
- Exfoliates and cleans out pores,
- Didn't experience a 'purging' phase which was a major plus :),
- Does not dry skin out, something I find with most acne fighting products,
- Reduced breakouts,
- Improved texture of skin.

Cons
- Does have leave a slightly greasy feeling residue on the skin, but nothing unpleasant.

Hope you all have a lovely week,
